Daniel Bonnell

BonnellArt.com is the art of artist, Daniel Bonnell, who holds a BFA in Fine Art (Atlanta College of Art, 1978) and an MFA in Painting Savannah College of Art and Design, 2012).  His post graduate studies were under the renown photographer, Ansel Adams, renown designer, Milton Glaser, and renown illustrator, James McMullan. He was awarded The Brother Nathan Cochran Award In Sacred Arts, a biannual Catholic sacred art exhibition presenting the Best of Show out of 117 entries and four countries.

The published paintings of Daniel Bonnell are found in 100 countries around the world and in publications of over 30 languages. His work is chosen for major influences in spirituality from such individuals as The ArchBishop of Canterbury, Oxford and King Colleges, as well as Catholic and Protestant leaders. His art has shown in Saint George’s Cathedral, Saint Paul’s Cathedral in London, The National Cathedral in Washington D.C., and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. His paintings are found in churches, convents, and cathedrals throughout Israel, England, and America.

The author of the book Shadow Lessons, Wipf and Stock Publishers 2012, Bonnell shares his experiences teaching within the inner city of the African American Community of at risk high school students in Savannah, Georgia.

Daniel Bonnell follows a Franciscan position of ethos that follows a kenosis position on life.
